Assistant Basketball Coach (Paid Internship)
Overview:
V3 Preparatory Academy is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Basketball Coach to join our summer basketball program. This role is perfect for aspiring coaches looking to gain hands-on experience and help student-athletes reach their potential in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist with daily practices and skill-building sessions
- Teach basketball fundamentals, strategies, and rules
- Motivate and mentor players during practices and games
- Evaluate player progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment
- Transport equipment and arrive punctually for all sessions
- Support game-day operations, including setup and breakdown
Requirements:
- Experience coaching or playing competitive basketball (NCAA/USport/CCAA preferred)
- NCCP certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a car
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm, plus weekends for games
- Clear vulnerable sector/police background check
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of FIBA rules is an asset

Camp Assistant / Photography (Paid Internship)
Overview:
Join our team to assist with camp operations and capture the excitement of our basketball program through photography and videography. This role is ideal for creative individuals who enjoy working with youth and want to build their portfolio in a dynamic sports environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily camp check-ins and logistics
- Help coaches during practices and games
- Photograph and film camp activities and competitions
- Edit and produce content for social media and promotional use
- Support equipment management and event setup
- Ensure a welcoming and organized camp environment
Requirements:
- Experience with photography/videography and social media
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in basketball and youth development
- Available Monday–Friday, with some weekend work
- Ability to travel within the GTA and occasionally to around Ontario

Part-time, paid internship
National Team Assistant Coach
Overview:
This entry-level position offers hands-on experience with our Boys High School and Post-grad basketball teams. The National Team Assistant will work directly with coaches and athletes, supporting both on-court and off-court operations. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in coaching, athletics administration, or sports management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise student housing and dorms
- Film practices and games, assist with video analysis
- Support on-court instruction and individual skill development
- Track statistics and maintain records
- Assist head coaches with practices, games, and daily operations
- Manage equipment and transportation logistics
- Provide transportation for players and equipment as needed
- Contribute to social media and college placement efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in college or high school athletics (player, manager, or coach)
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience with video analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Synergy)
- Previous coaching or team operations experience
- Desire to pursue a career in athletics
Student-Athlete Recruitment Advisor
Overview:
As a Student-Athlete Recruitment Advisor, you will engage with qualified leads, connect with prospective student-athletes and their families across Canada and internationally, and guide them through the admissions process for our high-performance basketball programs. This commission-only opportunity is ideal for passionate individuals who believe in the transformative power of sports and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with qualified leads interested in V3’s basketball prep programs (no cold calling required)
- Support recruitment efforts for student-athletes from Canada and abroad
- Communicate the unique benefits of V3’s holistic approach
- Guide families through the admissions process
- Maintain organized records of outreach and progress
- Achieve or exceed monthly enrollment goals
